There are two levels of involvement for teen and adult singers at St. John.
1) Many teens and adults are only available to sing for Christmas Eve. If you wish to sing for the Christmas Eve cantata or concert, you should begin coming to the Wednesday adult choir rehearsal (7:00) about 4 - 6 weeks before Christmas. Singers must have some school or church choral experience, either currently or in one's past, at a high school level or higher.
2) The regular choir rehearses on Wednesdays, 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM n the church Choir Loft. Rehearsals begin the first Wednesday after Labor Day and will end a week or two before Pentecost Sunday.. Singers may join at any time. Singers must have some school or church choral experience, either currently or in one's past, at a high school level or higher. Adults may have instrumental and note reading experience if they do not have previous choral experience. The Wednesday choir sing 2 and 3 part music every Sunday except during January. The choir also provides a 30 minute Christmas concert before the 10:30 Christmas Eve Mass and provides music for Holy Days.
