Organ, Harpsichord & Piano at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church

	St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church has a "pre-digital" Rogers organ with three manuals and a good supply of stops and pistons.  While it does not match the beauty of pipe organs or recent digital organs, one is able play all organ literature on it with a certain degree of satisfaction.  It is not a loud organ, but is adequate for leading liturgies in the space.  (However, couplers, 4' doublers and, for the last verses, reeds need to be added for the "packed Mass" at 10:00 Sunday AM Mass.)      St. John also has a nice Yamaha upright piano in the choir loft.  Harpischord music is performed on a digital keyboard.      The organ and piano are mainly used at the English Masses. Reperatoire includes classical composers such as Bach, Buxtehude, Vierne and Franck.   All hymns, preludes and postludes are listed on the "calender" page on this website.
